Details on Samsung SGH-i780 WM-communicator

We’ve already mentioned a mysterious Windows Mobile-communicator by Samsung introduced at GITEX event. Till this moment there was scarce data on this device from the video clip. The Unwired has posted the specs of the communicator called the SGH-i780. Powered by Windows Mobile 6 Professional it works in GSM/GPRS/EDGE 900/1800/1900 MHz and UMTS/HSDPA 2100 MHz networks.


The source says the new communicator comes with a 2.55” 320x320 touchscreen display, a QWERTY-keyboard, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR and Wi-Fi b/g wireless modules, a 2-megapixel camera, a frontal VGA-camera and an integrated GPS-receiver. Samsung SGH-i780 measures 115.9x61.3x13.3 mm. An interesting thing about it is that this is the first communicator with the square display powered by Windows Mobile 6. the release date hasn’t been unveiled yet.
